GESY prescriptions at an on-duty pharmacy
GESY (GHS) beneficiaries get their medicines from any pharmacy contracted with the Health Insurance Organisation.
Where a GESY prescription can be filled
At any pharmacy contracted with the HIO, as long as the prescription comes from a doctor who is also contracted. It does not have to be your local pharmacy.
What about the on-duty pharmacy?
If the on-duty pharmacy is contracted, it fills your prescription like any contracted pharmacy. The duty rota does not show which pharmacies are contracted, so call before you go.
What to bring
The ID or beneficiary card you use with GESY. For an urgent prescription after 22:00, call the on-duty pharmacy first.
